I help Black women professionals + mission-driven organizations

navigate personal
+ workplace transitions

without unnecessary chaos

—by aligning their next steps with their values so they can move forward with clarity and intention.

Hey there,
I’m kathlyn

I help women—primarily Black women professionals, educators, creatives, nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, or somewhere in between—navigate life and career transitions through my company Genesis Collective Media.

I also partner with mission-driven organizations to manage workplace transitions and help cultivate a culture of change readiness.

Within the last decade, I experienced multiple life and career transitions:

  • Earned my master’s

  • Relocated to a new city (three times)

  • Lost my father and navigated ongoing grief

  • Faced four periods of unemployment in five years

And somehow, I made it through without completely falling apart, even though there were times I felt like I was barely holding it together.

Professionally, I bring 15 years of experience in program management and change management within:

  • Higher Education Institutions

  • Membership Organizations

  • Legal Marketing

  • Healthcare Communications

  • Technology

And always with a focus on helping people and teams lead and manage change effectively.

Whether you're making a personal decision
or leading others through change,
you don’t have to figure it out alone.

I help you get clear on what truly matters
and take intentional steps forward.
